Anti-reflection
Anti-reflection coatings are designed to achieve high
transmission in multi-element optical devices and eliminate
ghosting effects in imaging systems. We offer a variety
of standard designs as well as tailor made coatings to
suit your applications.
Mirrors
Metal mirrors are used in applications where absorption
loss can be tolerated or where a high degree of angular
tolerance is required.
Metal based mirrors suffer from considerable absorption
loss, although for many simple systems this is not a
problem. For systems using high powers or multiple reflections,
however, the absorption loss of metal layers cannot
be tolerated. Dielectric quarter-wave stacks provide
the solution. We can offer quarter-wave stacks centred
on customer specified wavelengths.
Beamsplitters
Siltint offers tailor made beamsplitters to customer
specifications. Both polarising and non-polarising components
are available as used in optical systems for colour
and polarisation separation.
Filters
Dichroic edge filters have spectral characteristics
showing a sharp change between a high transmission region
and a high reflectance region. They are generally separated
into short wave pass or long wave pass filters and find
application in blocking unwanted wavelengths.
Special
coatings
You can specify any design or material combination and
we will endeavour to deposit it. This includes materials
such as, for example, Hafnium Oxide, Zirconium Oxide,
Copper, and Indium Tin Oxide.
